About Us
We hope that our website gives you a flavour of life at Mendlesham and the many opportunities available to our children.
At Mendlesham, we recognise that every child is unique, with their own strengths, interests and talents. We are committed to providing an ambitious, inclusive and nurturing environment where all children feel valued, supported and inspired to achieve their very best. Our experienced staff know the children well and work hard to ensure that every child is challenged, encouraged and celebrated.
We promote a positive learning culture where curiosity, resilience and a 'can do' attitude are encouraged from the very start. Through a broad and engaging curriculum, enriched by visits, visitors and memorable experiences, we help children develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to flourish both in school and beyond.
Our staff work closely with colleagues across both Mendlesham and Bacton Primary Schools, sharing expertise, professional development and best practice to continually strengthen teaching and learning. This collaborative approach benefits all children whilst allowing each school to retain its own unique identity and place within the local community.
We are proud of our welcoming and inclusive ethos, where strong relationships, high expectations and a commitment to wellbeing sit alongside academic ambition. As the home of the Mulberry Specialist Educational Unit, we have particular expertise in supporting children with a wide range of additional needs, helping every child to feel a sense of belonging and success within our school community. Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.
We also celebrate a 'RICH' school culture that promotes reading, creativity, sport, personal development and opportunities to broaden children's horizons. You can find out more about these aspects of school life throughout our website.
We would be delighted to welcome you to Mendlesham Primary School. Please do get in touch if you would like to arrange a visit and see our wonderful school in action.
