Mendlesham Primary School
Welcome to Willow Class at Mendlesham Primary School

The teaching in Willow Class follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and so is based around these 7 areas of learning. We provide a rich learning environment where your child can explore a wide range of topics through child-initiated play, adult-directed activities and adult-led group work.
The children have lots of fun being ‘Busy Bees’, where they choose their learning in the classroom and in our outside area, and we also plan activities to suit each child’s needs and ensure they progress well and become confident, independent learners.
Tapestry Online Learning Journal
We hope you get on OK with logging in to your child’s online Learning Journal. We are looking forward to you contributing as well, and hearing about the learning that is happening at home too.
Here is a Parent’s Guide for using Tapestry on a computer. You can also download apps for use with iPhones/iPads and Android devices.
Learning to Read and Write in Willow Class
Thank you to all of you who were able to attend our Phonics Information session last week. Please find the information about learning to read and phonics by clicking the links below. All of the children in Willow class have now begun taking home reading books to share with you. Thank you for your support with this.
